HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that the 116 (Fairfield Road) bridge spanning a tributary to Marsh Creek near Gettysburg in Adams County is open to traffic. The bridge, which is located between Knoxlyn Road (Route 3013) and Knoxlyn Ortanna Road (Route 3020) in Highland Township, was closed last December for replacement.
A detour associated with the project has been lifted. Some minor construction items remain that will be performed under flagging.
This project consists of a bridge replacement, milling and paving. Lobar Site Development Corporation of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania, is the contractor on this $1,046,354 project.
All work is expected to be completed by June 24.
