While the high school football program at Fairfield is currently shuttered, there’s hope for the future thanks to a group of youth players that are taking over the CFA Youth Football League.
All three of Fairfield’s youth teams — the Peewees, Ponies, and Midgets — dominated last weekend to remain undefeated in Liberty Conference play. Three weeks into the season, the three Knights squads have left a trail of destruction in their wake, outscoring their opponents by a combined 249-18 score.
Waynesboro’s Pony team improved to 3-0 with a 13-0 shutout over New Cumberland. The Stallions, who have outscored opponents 60-0 this fall, are tied for first place in the Federal Conference.
Two Chambersburg teams fell from the ranks of the unbeaten last weekend, as the Trojans were swept by the Susquehanna Tribe in National Conference play.
