With the Labor Day holiday now in the rear-view mirror, it’s all business on the youth soccer scene moving forward.
Travel soccer is already underway for two area clubs — the Chambersburg-based Union Soccer Club and Greencastle United Soccer Club — in the Central Pennsylvania Youth Soccer League. The USC is fielding 15 boys and seven girls teams in the CPYSL, while GUSC brings five boys and four girls squads to the pitch.
The United Recreational Soccer League is set to open play this weekend. We counted 25 squads from the Local.News1 coverage area playing under four clubs: Waynesboro Youth Soccer Association, Smithsburg Youth Athletics, Hagerstown American Youth Soccer League, and Fairfield Youth Soccer League.
