HAGERSTOWN – Washington County Commissioners will meet on Tuesday, June 10. Key issues on the agenda are community health, infrastructure and personnel matters.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. at 100 West Washington St. A highlight will be the proclamation of Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness Month, presented by Rebekah Blum of Dementia Friendly America Washington County, to advocate for community awareness of brain health.
The commissioners will also review contract awards, including stop-loss insurance coverage and grounds maintenance chemicals for county departments. There will also be updates on natural gas supply bids and retention pond mowing.
A closed session will address personnel matters, including reappointments to the Police Accountability Board, employee discipline, and staff protection. The board will also discuss proposals to attract or retain companies in the county, consult with legal counsel, and review public facility security.
