WAYNESBORO—If you’ve ever wanted to try your hand at pottery, now is the time to visit Walnut Street Studios.
The studio is offering Wheel Throwing Class with instructor Ray Mihm.
The class is designed for students with little or no experience on the potter’s wheel.
Participants can satisfy their curiosity and experience a fun and thorough introduction to throwing on the potter’s wheel during this 15-hour course.
Included will be the skills necessary to throw cylinders, cups and bowls and Mihm will guide participants on the process of throwing, shaping and trimming, plus basic surface decoration and glazing techniques.
Class will be held five Wednesdays beginning Jan. 12 through Feb. 23, from 6 to 9 p.m.
Cost is $225 per student and includes 25 pounds of clay, firings and glaze.
