GETTYSBURG – Beginning on Memorial Day and presenting nightly through Labor Day, “Taps” will play at 7 p.m. on the north side of the Pennsylvania Monument in Gettysburg National Military Park.
The Lincoln Fellowship of Pennsylvania sponsors “One Hundred Nights of Taps, Gettysburg” in partnership with Gettysburg National Military Park, Taps for Veterans, Gettysburg’s Licensed Battlefield Guides and Eisenhower National Historic Site.
During the formal “Taps” program, representatives from the Lincoln Fellowship and guest Licensed Battlefield Guides offer brief historical presentations.
Volunteer buglers from across the United States participate. These musicians include active-duty military musicians, military veterans, Civil War living historians and musicians, community band members, high school and college students and music teachers.
