CHAMBERSBURG – Calling all heroes, merfolk, gamers and more! The Downtown Business Council of Chambersburg will hold Fandom Fest on May 10 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Returning for its third year, this rain or shine, free event is the place to be to celebrate all the things we are fans of from pop culture and beyond!
Dive under the seas of the Mermaid Grotto, sponsored by Shabby Chic Farmhouse Boutique, to meet Maeve the Mt. Gretna Mermaid and Candace the Mermaid! Have your photo taken with The Mystery Machine and Ecto-1, thanks to Levy Metal Enterprises, LLC. Try your hand at Live Action Role Play battle techniques with Phoenix Hollow LARP.
Beyond the fun sights and characters to meet, there will be costume contests, brick building competitions and an interactive activity through our main street businesses with cash prizes available for all ages sponsored by the Franklin County Visitor Center and Franklin County Library system respectively.
With over 20 fandom-related craft and collectible vendors, photo ops around the festival area, food trucks and many activities to participate in; this will be the perfect outing for fans of any fandom and any age.

While most of the event will be focused in the Rosedale Lot and Chambers Fort Park area of Chambersburg, many of the businesses along Main Street will be participating in their own way with window displays, special promotions and more.
Attendees are encouraged to park in the Hood Street Lot, the closest lot with handicapped accessibility to the Fandom fun and the Downtown Chambersburg shopping area.
