SHIPPENSBURG – A go kart and chainsaw are up for raffle by Truck Mart LLC to support Wheels for Women during the upcoming Central Pennsylvania Chainsaw Carvers Festival. Wheels for Women is a nonprofit that provides reliable transportation to women in need.
The chainsaw carving festival will take place from April 17-19, at the Shippensburg Fairgrounds. Raffle tickets are available for purchase online at wheelsforwomen.org and at the Truck Mart LLC and Car Starz booth during the festival.
Raffle tickets cost $10 for one, $20 for three, and $50 for ten. First prize is a Massimo Mini 125 Go Kart, and second prize is a high-quality Stihl Chainsaw. All proceeds will benefit Wheels for Women.
Wheels for Women provides women in need with reliable transportation to find or maintain employment, access healthcare appointments and feed their children. The organization operates on Christian principles such as compassion, integrity, credibility, honesty and commitment. The organization assists women facing hardships such as the death of a spouse, serious health problems, addiction recovery, rebuilding after an abusive relationships and unexpected family tragedies.
