CHAMBERSBURG – The Chambersburg Middle School Robotics Club achieved a second-place finish in the BotsIQ Preliminary Competition. The event, held earlier this month, showcased the team’s engineering and competitive spirit.
The club will advance to the BotsIQ Finals Competition at PennWest California on April 11 and 12. The finals will feature bouts between teams from across Pennsylvania, including high schools and middle schools, as they battle for top honors in combat robotics. Students will also be evaluated on their engineering documentation, a critical component of the competition.
BotsIQ provides students with hands-on experience in robotics and advanced manufacturing, fostering technical skills essential for future careers. The preliminary competition was a stepping stone for the team, and their sights are now set on success at the finals. The award ceremony for the finals is scheduled for April 12 at 5:15 p.m. in PennWest California’s Convocation Center.
