Wayne Rensch of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, age 80, passed away suddenly in his home on December 27, 2024 following a lengthy illness. Wayne was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the youngest child of the late John Harold Rensch and Martha Alice Mann. While living in the Philadelphia area, Wayne was an active member of the Old First Reformed United Church of Christ. He attended Bartram High School and was active in his local community. Wayne worked for various companies including Kodak and Kelloggs. He later managed Main Line Party Rentals in Paoli, PA, before eventually becoming the owner of the company. Wayne retired to Hilton Head Island where he enjoyed golfing, bike riding, and entertaining friends and family. He was a lifelong Eagles fan and also enjoyed the Philadelphia Flyers. He loved history, especially the Civil War Era, and was an avid reader. Wayne leaves behind his longtime partner Elizabeth (Betsy) Haner, her son, Andrew Haner (Stephanie) and granddaughter, Nova. Wayne was a dedicated and loving father to his children, Susan Richman (David), Christine Rensch (Lauren), and Lorraine Velez (Robert). He enjoyed his grandchildren, Hannah, Anna, Andrew, Allison, and Emma, and his great-grandson, Avi. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald Rensch (Gwen.) In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Rensch. He will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Wayne was always charming and his infectious smile will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, https://t2t.org/donate would be greatly appreciated. A funeral service will be held at 11:a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave, Chambersburg, PA 17201. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery.
