George Edward Riesett Sr., 81, of Waynesboro, PA passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024 in the Chambersburg Hospital surrounded by his family. Born April 18, 1943 in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late John Henry and Ottie (McCauley) Riesett.
He went to the service in June of 1963 and served in the Army. He was Honorable discharged in November 1968.
George was an electrician all his adult life working for several different companies throughout his career. He was born and raised in Baltimore MD and moved to Waynesboro PA in 2005. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, taking rides with his wife, and to eating sweet treats.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Riesett; a daughter, Carol Kennedy; three step-children, Teresa Wilt, Michelle Fogle, and Lee Wilt; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Paula (Brian) Fox, Debbie Reinhart, and Joann Scanlon, and two brothers Rick (Karen) Riesett and Larry Riesett. In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by his son George Edward Riesett, Jr. and a brother John Riesett.
