Ms. Emmajane Louise Shipley, 56, of Sharpsburg, passed away Saturday morning, September 23, 2023, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born February 2, 1967, in Frederick, she was a daughter of the late Donald Eugene and Margaret Louise Robbie Eckenrode.
Ms. Shipley was a private in home care aide last working with MustardSeed Health Care Services LLC, Frederick.
Surviving are her children Jason A Ecker, Sr., and wife Samantha of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, and Karly Shipley and fiance Logan Herzberg of McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania; twelve grandchildren; siblings Carol Brawner and husband Brian, Daniel Eckenrode, and Hattie Keeney; her former spouse and friend, Ronnie Shipley; longtime friend Everett “Buck” Johnson of Sharpsburg; as well as her feline companions Tigger and Belle; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Emmajane was preceded in death by a granddaughter; and brother Donald Eckenrode, Jr.
The family will receive friends at Andrew K. Coffman Coffman Funeral Home, 40 East Antietam Street, Hagerstown, on Thursday, September 28, beginning at 12:00 PM until the Memorial Service begins at the funeral home at 1:00 PM. Chaplain Travis L. Powell will officiate. A gathering to continue celebrating Emmajane’s life will beging at 4:00 PM on Thursday at “The Farm” of Amvets, Post 2, located at 9602 Baltimore Road, Frederick, beginning at 4:00 PM.
