CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — Chambersburg Post 46 continued its strong run through the Pennsylvania American Legion Baseball Senior Tournament, defeating Quakertown 5-2 on Sunday to remain unbeaten in the double-elimination field.
Unlike its opening game, which required late-inning drama, Chambersburg secured a more controlled win behind a solid performance from pitcher Ryne Mills, who earned the victory.
With the win, Post 46 improved to 2-0 and advanced to the winner’s bracket final. Chambersburg is set to face Greater Pittston, also undefeated, at 5 p.m. Monday at Williamsport Area High School. The matchup will determine which team moves one step closer to the championship round.

The eight-team tournament has already seen two clubs eliminated. Falls and host Williamsport were knocked out after suffering their second losses on Sunday.
Earlier in the tournament, Chambersburg opened play with a narrow 6-5 victory over Falls, while Quakertown advanced with a dominant 15-4 win against Philipsburg before falling to Post 46.
Greater Pittston secured its place in the winner’s bracket showdown with a 10-3 victory over Belle Vernon on Sunday, continuing its consistent play through the bracket.
Other elimination games scheduled for Monday include Wesleyville facing Quakertown at 11 a.m., followed by Philipsburg taking on Belle Vernon at 2 p.m.
The tournament champion will earn a berth in the American Legion Baseball Mid-Atlantic Regional, scheduled for Aug. 5-9 in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
