GREENCASTLE, Pa. — A record crowd enjoyed the high-energy bluegrass music of the Will Clark Band at the sixth Annual Fiddlin in the Field fundraiser on Thursday night.
The annual event is hosted by Leah’s Legacy, founded in 2019 in memory of Leah Renee Straley, who passed on Valentine’s Day 2018 from fentanyl poisoning.
Will Clark from Easley, S.C., and his band members, from Tennessee, Virginia and Maryland, performed for over 90 minutes before a crowd of 195.
Guests enjoyed food and beverages from Lizzy’s, Edwards Kettle Corn and Tag Along Coffee Co.
“We are grateful to our many sponsors and those businesses who donated items for the silent auction,” said Mike Straley, who along with wife Robin, founded the non-profit. “Our volunteers, including our board members, along with the Krew Riding Club (coordinated parking) did an outstanding job. And, of course, all those folks who supported us by buying tickets… an outstanding evening.”
Next year’s event is slated for Thursday, June 24, 2027.
