MONT ALTO, Pa. — With a year to go before the closure of Penn State Mont Alto and six other satellite campuses of Penn State University, no concrete plans have been announced.
Penn State officials released a statement Tuesday, May 19, noting, “Penn State continues to work with the Franklin County Area Development Corporation as potential future uses for the Mont Alto campus are explored.
“More broadly, the University continues to engage with the Commonwealth, local stakeholders and community partners around each of the closing campuses, with discussions progressing at different paces based on campus-specific circumstances.
“No final decisions have been made regarding the long-term direction of the campus properties.”
No public meetings have been held regarding Penn State Mont Alto.
