Totem Pole Playhouse announces 2026 summer theatre camps

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa – Totem Pole Playhouse is excited to offer a dynamic lineup of 2026 Summer Theatre Camps, designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, and give young performers a hands-on experience in the world of live theatre.

With options for a range of ages and experience levels, this year’s camps feature shorter time commitments and more affordable pricing, while continuing to provide high-quality instruction from professional artists from both the local community and across the country.

Kicking off the summer is the Creative Dramatics Camp, running June 22–27 for ages 7–10. This one-week day camp focuses on imagination, storytelling, and fun, as campers explore theatre through games, character building, and improvisation. No prior experience is needed—just creativity and a willingness to play. The week concludes with a free community performance, where campers take the stage to share what they’ve learned with family and friends.

For older students, Totem Pole Playhouse offers two Musical Theatre Camps for ages 11–18, providing a more immersive, production-based experience.

The first camp, Beetlejuice Jr., runs July 6–18, followed by Descendants the Musical, running July 27–August 8. In these intensives, campers become a true company of young performers, gaining insight into every aspect of putting on a show—from character development to collaboration within an ensemble. Each session culminates in a fully staged musical production.

The Descendants camp will also feature special guest instruction from Theatre Untitled, a New York City-based Off-Broadway group, offering students a unique opportunity to learn from working professionals in the industry.

“These camps are designed to meet students where they are—whether they’re stepping on stage for the first time or already passionate about performing,” said Totem Pole leadership. “It’s about creativity, confidence, and giving them a real sense of what it’s like to be part of something bigger.”

Enrollment is now open, and space is limited across all sessions.
