David Earl Lewis, born on June 16, 1934, in Blackshear, Georgia, passed away on April 22, 2026, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. A devoted father, he is survived by his sons, David Earl Lewis Jr. and Eric Lewis.
Earl dedicated much of his life to the field of agriculture, working as a field worker and contributing significantly to the farming community. Though his formal education concluded at the eighth grade, his wisdom and life experiences shaped not only his own journey but also the lives of those around him.
An avid football fan, Earl had a particular passion for the Miami Dolphins. He often spent Sundays cheering for his favorite team, engaging in lively discussions about the sport with friends and family. His love for football was intertwined with his deep-rooted sense of community, as he embraced opportunities to connect with fellow fans.
Earl will be remembered for his gentle spirit, unwavering dedication to his family, and his joy in simple pleasures. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and the many lives he touched throughout his years.
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, John Lewis and Fostina (Ladler) Lewis.
