GREENCASTLE, Pa. – The Greencastle-Antrim School District and GAFH Boosters will host the Mini Blue Devils Field Hockey Camp this June for local students seeking to develop their skills. The camp aims to introduce younger players to the sport and strengthen the Blue Devils field hockey program through early skill development and community engagement.
The camp will run from Monday, June 8 through Thursday, June 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. each evening at Kaley Field at Greencastle-Antrim Senior High School. It is open to students entering fourth through ninth grade.
Led by current Blue Devils players and coaching staff, the camp will focus on skill development, teamwork and fundamentals of the sport. Organizers say the program is designed to give young athletes hands-on instruction while building confidence on the field.
The cost is $85 per camper, with a $40 discount for each additional sibling. Registration is open until the first day of camp, but participants must register by May 15 to guarantee a camp T-shirt. Payment must also be received by that date.
Campers are required to bring a mouthpiece, shin guards, a water bottle and a field hockey stick. A limited number of sticks are available to borrow by contacting organizers in advance.
Checks should be made payable to GAFH Boosters and can be mailed or dropped off at Greencastle-Antrim Middle School or Greencastle-Antrim Elementary School offices.
