Mr. Russell H. Misner, 91, of Mont Alto, PA, passed away Friday morning, December 12, 2025, in the Waynesboro Hospital.
Born April 14, 1934 in Fairview, PA, he was the son of the late Jesse R. and Bertha M. (Sweitzer) Misner.
He and his wife, the late Nancy L. (Wagaman) Misner, were married on June 19, 1954 in Mont Alto. Mrs. Misner died on March 5, 2022.
In his early life, Mr. Misner worked at Karper Orchards. He later worked for over 30 years at Hess Company.
He was a member of the Mont Alto United Methodist Church and enjoyed woodworking, hunting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by two children, David M. Misner (Denise) and Norma J. Montoy (Tony), both of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Ross, Ryan and Camelia; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Lula M. Staley of Fayetteville, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his siblings, William Misner, Richard Misner, Alverta Vulgamott, Mary Stull, Becky Smith and Betty Shaffer.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 19, 2025 in Strang’s Cemetery, South Mountain, PA with Pastor Loretta McClure officiating.
