CHAMBERSBURG – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced today that rolling stops are planned for this afternoon on Interstate 81 near Chambersburg, Franklin County. The rolling stops will be in place as a safety precaution for blasting activities associated with a residential development.
Weather permitting, there will be rolling stops of up to 15 minutes in both directions of I-81 between noon and 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 12, from Exit 17 (Walker Road) to Exit 20 (Route 997/Scotland).
Motorists should be alert and watch for stopped or slow-moving traffic.
