Franklin County Visitors Bureau is having a Scary Mini Movie Contest! Get your creative energy flowing and make a mini movie of at least 30 seconds but not more than 90 seconds. There are two age categories – Up to age 12 and 13 to adult. First prize in each category is $200 and two honorable mentions of $100 in each category.
Franklin County Visitors Bureau wants your eerie-sistible, fab-boo-lous, fang-tastic, and boo-tiful mini movies. Don’t be afraid! Make a spooky reel, a funny-scary reel, a sci-fi reel, or even a thriller reel; your imagination is the limit. The only additional requirement is that mini movie must feature a Franklin County PA location or scene.
There is no entry fee. Send your finished video to [email protected] by October 25 along with your name, age, phone number, and title of the video. Videos will be shared in the October 29 episode of FCVB-TV on ExploreFranklinCountyPA.com Winners will be announced at the end of the October 29 episode of FCVB-TV.
Videos can be funny and scary or simply scary. They can use animation or actors. Think about what is scary, creepy, or bone-chilling. Is it clowns, spiders, rats, creaking floors, flashing lights, extraterrestrials, or a sudden burst of chilling air? Bring it to life in the Scary Mini Movie Contest 2025. Entries will be judged on creativity, originality, storytelling, and production value.
