Yogi arrived at the shelter with a heavy load of fleas after being found wandering in a nearby state park. He had such a bad case of fleas he was anemic – dangerously anemic. He was treated for the fleas and received care for the anemia. Yogi is now better and is ready to find his loving forever home! Yogi is a laid back, 8-year-old mixed breed – we’re not really sure what Yogi is. He likes to be with people and take slow walks. He doesn’t seem to mind the other dogs and did well with the tester cat here at the shelter. Yogi would prefer an adult only home. He did test positive for Lyme and has been treated. Luna has quite a story with her time at CVAS. She is a 6-year-old Belgian Malinois who was spotted on a trail cam running with a pack of coyotes about 10 months ago. She got caught in a foot trap and that’s how she came to the shelter. She tested positive for heartworm and has been on the treatment for it since her arrival. She is such a sweet dog and will need someone who understands the breed because she can be bossy and stubborn at times.
