Grace, power and storytelling come to life onstage as the Chambersburg Ballet presents its Winter Showcase at Laird Hall, Wilson College, 1015 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. Pete the Cat is bringing some snowy fun to downtown Waynesboro this weekend during the“Snow Daze” Downtown Window StoryWalk. The family-friendly event will take place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, kicking off at One Day Pet Café, 66 W. Main St., as part of Mainstreet Waynesboro’s Snowman Stroll Family Day. Visitors can meet adoptable cats from Antietam Humane Society, enjoy crafts and STEAM activities at the Alexander Hamilton Memorial Free Library and follow Pete’s wintry adventure page by page in local storefront windows. The stroll is free and open to the public.
Young heroes can don their capes and masks for an action-packed evening of fun at the Superhero Party, a family event celebrating imagination and adventure at Hagerstown Community College’s ARCC Gymnasium, 11400 Robinwood Dr. Held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, the event invites children ages 1 to 12 and their families to meet superheroes, enjoy themed activities such as sand art, moon bounces, coloring, magic shows and more. Each child ticket includes a “hero bag” with items used at various activity stations, and the night will conclude with a Parade of Super Heroes showcasing creative costumes. Toe-tapping rhythms and smooth sips are set to fill the Capitol Theatre as Mountain Music & Moonshine returns to Chambersburg on Saturday, Feb. 28.
