Where does maple syrup come from?

FAIRFIELD—Maple sugaring season is coming and Strawberry Hill Nature Center is kicking it off with an event.

Experience first-hand the magic of maple sugaring—the art of tapping maple trees for syrup.

The event begins Saturday, Feb. 26, with an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, followed by maple sugaring tours from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Tickets are required to attend. The pancake breakfast is $9 for adults; $5 for children under 3-12; children under 3 may eat for free.

Maple sugaring tours are $7 per person; children under 3 are admitted for free.

A Sweet Deal package—breakfast and tour—is available for $15 for adults; $10 for children under 12.

The day will be held at Camp Eder, 914 Mt. Hope Road, Fairfield.
