WAYNESBORO, Pa — Waynesboro Post 14 split a pair of American Legion regional games, falling 8-3 to Chambersburg in the Region 4 winners’ bracket final on July 18 before rebounding with a 15-2 win over Shippensburg later Saturday. Gunner Shifflett led the way in the victory, going 3-for-3 at the plate with a triple in the fourth inning and singles in the second and third. The results set up a championship rematch between Waynesboro and Chambersburg, scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. at Waynesboro Area Senior High School.
