WAYNESBORO – Waynesboro’s girls volleyball teams dominated Shippensburg in a thrilling doubleheader on Sept. 16, with the junior varsity squad edging out a 2-1 victory and the varsity team sweeping 3-0.
The J.V. match showcased fierce competition. Waynesboro’s players displayed tenacity, rallying in the decisive third set to secure the win. Key performances included precise serving and strong defensive plays that kept Shippensburg on their toes.
In the varsity match, Waynesboro overwhelmed Shippensburg with aggressive offense and airtight defense. The team’s seamless coordination and powerful spikes left little room for their opponents to mount a comeback, resulting in a clean sweep.
Both matches highlighted Waynesboro’s depth and skill, setting a strong tone for the season. The teams return to the court next week, aiming to build on this momentum.
