Waynesboro native’s Atlanta bakery finalist in USA Today’s 10 top reader awards

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Waynesboro native Hunter Mowen is making news in Atlanta, where the bakery she co-owns, Hell Yeah! Gluten Free, has been named a finalist in the USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Gluten-Free Bakery.

Hell Yeah! Gluten Free has built a loyal following in Atlanta for its bold approach to nostalgic baked goods. From donuts and cinnamon rolls to biscuits, breakfast sandwiches and cakes, everything is made in a dedicated gluten-free kitchen.

Mowen grew up in Waynesboro and remains connected to the area, where she still has family and visits often. In January 2026, she became a co-owner of Hell Yeah! Gluten Free and has since helped lead the bakery into its next chapter, expanding its offerings and presence throughout Atlanta.

“I still have family in Waynesboro and get back often, and it’s been really fun to see all the support from friends and family back home. The texts I’ve been getting have been amazing,” said Mowen.

The USA TODAY 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards highlight standout businesses, attractions and experiences from across the country, with public voting determining the final rankings.
