Waynesboro Historical Society Announces Covid-19 Exhibit

WAYNESBORO– The Waynesboro Historical Society is holding a special exhibit to document the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the local community. The exhibit will be held at the Society’s Oller House, located at 138 W. Main Street, Waynesboro PA 17268, from July 1 to July 29. The exhibit will feature journals written by Waynesboro area residents during the pandemic. Volunteers will be present each Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to answer questions and provide information.

The exhibit will also include a Pandemic Notebook, where anyone can add their own experiences related to the pandemic. Journal notebooks will be placed in the Oller House Library’s Ruth Gembe Room for future reference. The Society is encouraging residents to contribute their one-page writing about this worldwide-infectious disease over the past years.

For more information, interested individuals can leave a message at the WHS phone: 717.762.1747, and a volunteer will get back to them. Alternatively, they can call 717.762.3834 for further information. The exhibit is a unique opportunity to document the experiences of the local community during the pandemic and to reflect on the challenges and lessons learned during this unprecedented time.
