Waynesboro administrator honored with statewide leadership award

HERSHEY – Eric Holtzman, business administrator, with the Waynesboro Area School District, was awarded the David L. Nett Leadership Award at the 70th annual conference of the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials.

This award recognizes Holtzman’s outstanding contributions and exemplary leadership as President of the Lincoln Area Regional Chapter of School Business Officials for the 2024-2025 year.

Association officials said Holtzman has demonstrated significant contributions to leadership excellence, significantly improved the health and vibrancy of the regional chapter and provided exceptional benefits to its members.

His leadership truly embodies the spirit of this award, they added. His innovative initiatives,
such as the legislative advocacy panel he organized, demonstrate his commitment to
empowering association members. The fact that seven local state representatives attended and
actively participated speaks volumes about his influence and the respect he garners, association officials noted.

Furthermore, the chapter’s advocacy day trip to Harrisburg, including the capital building tour
and meetings with legislative staff, provided a valuable opportunity for our members to engage
directly with the legislative process.

Holtzman’s calm demeanor, commanding control of meetings and deep knowledge and experience
in the field have earned him the respect of his colleagues. His commitment to excellence in
school business throughout Pennsylvania is deeply appreciated.

The notice sent to Waynesboro Superintendent Dr. Rita Sterner-Hines, noted, “We believe this achievement reflects positively on you and your organization, and we wanted to make you aware of this well-deserved award. Thank you for supporting Eric’s service in this important role.”
