HAGERSTOWN, Md. — Washington County Government offices will close Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth, with several county services operating on modified schedules.
County officials announced that while administrative offices will be closed, many public-facing services and facilities will continue to operate or follow adjusted hours.
At Hagerstown Regional Airport, administrative offices will be closed, but the terminal will remain open from 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Allegiant Air flights will operate as scheduled, including departures to Myrtle Beach International Airport and Orlando Sanford International Airport.
Environmental Management offices will also be closed. The Forty West Landfill and all county transfer stations will not operate Friday but will reopen for normal business hours Saturday, June 20.
Washington County Transit Services will operate on a regular schedule.
Black Rock Golf Course will remain open and operate under normal hours.
The Washington County Treasurer’s Office will be closed for the holiday.
Officials noted that all essential public safety services will remain in effect during the closure.
