Totem Pole unveils star-studded 2026 season with musicals, tribute concerts, camps

FAYETTEVILLE – Totem Pole Playhouse has announced its full 2026 season lineup, offering audiences a full year of outstanding entertainment, from Broadway musicals and tribute concerts to youth theatre camps and holiday classics.

As previously announced, the 2026 season begins in the spring with the return of the Music in the Pines Concert Series, a celebration of live music presented in Totem Pole’s scenic setting. The series opens with “The Jersey Beach Boys” on April 18–19, followed by “The Rave-Ons: Dick Clark’s Countdown to the ’50s & ’60s” on April 22. “Katie Deal’s Wildflowers: The Women of Country Music” takes the stage April 23, and “Lisa Turchi & Friends Sing the Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber” rounds out the spring concerts April 25–26.

Newly added to the 2026 lineup are two exciting fall Music in the Pines concerts — “The Music of Queen + Journey” on Oct. 3 & 4, and “Toby: The Toby Keith Tribute Show” on Nov. 7. These highly anticipated performances expand the popular concert series into the fall, bringing more opportunities for audiences to experience outstanding live music

The Summer Theatre Season officially opens with the regional premiere of “A Night with Janis Joplin,” running May 29 – June 13, presented as a co-production with Gretna Theatre. This electrifying Broadway musical celebrates the life and music of the Queen of Rock & Roll, featuring her unforgettable hits and the powerful voices that inspired her.

Next, Totem Pole proudly presents another regional premiere and a special America 250 selection — “Come From Away,” running June 19 – July 4. This Tony Award–winning musical tells the inspiring true story of how a small town in Newfoundland welcomed thousands of stranded travelers on the day the world came to a stop. Totem Pole Playhouse will be the first theatre in the region to bring both of these acclaimed Broadway productions to local audiences.

From July 10-25, audiences will enjoy Neil Simon’s “Oscar & Felix: A New Look at The Odd Couple,” a fresh and hilarious update to the beloved classic. The second America 250 selection, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “South Pacific,” follows from July 31 – Aug. 16, bringing one of Broadway’s most timeless and romantic musicals to the Totem Pole stage. The summer season concludes with “Karen Hester as Dolly,” Aug. 20-29, featuring the number-one Dolly Parton tribute artist direct from Las Vegas in a one-woman celebration of the country legend’s music and spirit.

Throughout the fall and spring, Tucked Away Treasures, Totem Pole’s beloved concert and cabaret series, will once again bring audiences a collection of unique and entertaining events under the pines. This year’s lineup features an exciting mix of live conversation, music and comedy — including a special “Addressing Gettysburg” live podcast event, an intimate visit with Emmy Award-winner Sally Struthers hosted by John Putch, the high-energy nostalgia of “The Boy Band Experience,” and the hilarious, offbeat magic of “Jonathan Burns: The Life of the Party.” Each performance offers something distinct — from laughter and storytelling to song and spectacle — all in Totem Pole’s signature up-close-and-personal setting.

Totem Pole’s tradition of fostering young artists continues with its Youth Theatre Camps, designed to ignite creativity and build confidence in young performers. The Creative Dramatics Camp for ages 7–10, held June 22–27, introduces children to the world of theatre through storytelling, movement, and imaginative play in a supportive environment. Older students, ages 11 and up, can participate in Musical Theatre Camp #1: Beetlejuice Jr. from July 6–18 and Musical Theatre Camp #2: Disney’s Descendants from July 27–Aug. 8. Each two-week intensive gives campers hands-on experience in acting, singing, and stagecraft, culminating in fully staged performances open to the public.

To close the year, Totem Pole Playhouse will once again bring its celebrated production of A Christmas Carol to the Majestic Theatre in Gettysburg in December 2026, back by popular demand for a new holiday season of joy and tradition.

“Our 2026 season truly captures what Totem Pole Playhouse is all about — connection, creativity, and community,” said Ryan Gibbs, producing artistic director. “From Broadway blockbusters and iconic concerts to family programs and our cherished holiday tradition, we’re proud to present a season that offers something for everyone. It’s going to be a remarkable year under the pines, and we can’t wait to welcome audiences back.”
