Time travel across 2,000 Years at Fort Loudoun

FORT LOUDOUN, Pa. – History buffs can experience more than two millennia of world history in one weekend when Fort Loudoun Historic Site hosts its sixth annual Across the Centuries event May 2–3.

The immersive program brings together over 300 living historians and reenactors representing eras from Ancient Greece and Rome through the medieval period, the American Revolution and Civil War, up to World War II and the Vietnam War. Visitors can walk among Roman warriors, meet medieval knights, or crawl into a World War II foxhole surrounded by authentic military vehicles and tanks.

The family-friendly event offers hands-on experiences and demonstrations throughout both days, with food vendors available on-site. Admission is $5 for adults, while visitors 17 and under are admitted free. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.

The program is hosted at the Fort Loudoun Historic Site, a nonprofit organization preserving an 18th-century fort site on 208 acres. The site is operated entirely by volunteers and receives no state or municipal funding.
