WAYNESBORO—An historic dining experience is planned for Renfrew Museum and Park beginning in March.
The Farmstead Taste & Tour program offers guests the opportunity to sample seasonal, locally sourced fare inspired by the traditions of the historic Pennsylvania German farmstead.
The meal will be hosted in Renfrew’s Wagon Shed Room inside the converted Victorian barn and servers will dress in authentic early 19th century period clothing and share old-fashioned hospitality as each course is introduced along with informational commentary on how it relates to the heritage of the farmstead.
After lunch, diners will take a tour of the farmstead outbuildings and 1812 stone Museum House, then return for a scrumptious dessert.
Produce is sourced from Greensburg Farms in Hagerstown, Maryland, and prepared by Keystone Family Restaurant.
The three-hour dining experience will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 15 and 18; May 6; Aug. 16 and 19; and December 9, 13 and 16.
Seatings are sold by table, with tables of up to two guests at $60; tables for 4, $120.
Registration required at least 48 hours in advance and seating is limited.
