WAYNESBORO – A guided tree tour led by Waynesboro Area Senior High School junior Quinn Coulter, a Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful Ambassador, will highlight a fall foliage activity at Green Hill Cemetery and Arboretum, 953 S. Potomac St., at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21.
Members of Envirothon and the Gardening Club at Waynesboro Area Senior High School have been invited to the educational activity, which also is open to any interested student at the high school and Waynesboro Area Middle School, as well as the public.
The program will feature a presentation by Tom McCloud, a long time member of Green Hill’s board of directors and the current chairman of the grounds committee. Chairman of the Shade Tree Commission of the Borough of Waynesboro, he is a Pennsylvania certified horticulturist, a member and past President of the Pennsylvania Landscape and Nursery Association and former owner of Appalachian Nursery of Waynesboro.
Light refreshments will be provided.
