CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. — A Wilson College student from Taiwan is being held in Franklin County Jail on $500,000 bail after Pennsylvania State Police charged him with possessing and disseminating child sexual abuse material, according to court documents.
Junchen Huang, 21, also identified in court documents as Yuchen Huang and “Nash,” is charged with felony sexual abuse of children, felony dissemination of child sexual abuse material and felony criminal use of a communication facility.
Huang was unable to post bail following his arraignment, according to the docket. A preliminary hearing had not yet been scheduled.
The charges followed an investigation that began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received cyber tips from Google related to suspected child sexual abuse material allegedly downloaded Aug. 31, 2024, according to a criminal complaint filed by state police.
Investigators said the information in the cyber tip, including an IP address, date of birth and telephone numbers, was traced to an internet connection used by Wilson College and to accounts associated with Huang. Police said a second cyber tip concerning additional suspected child sexual abuse material was received the following day and involved the same IP address and accounts.
State police contacted Wilson College in February 2026 while investigating records associated with Junchen Huang and Yuchen Huang, according to the complaint. Police said college officials confirmed Huang was a student from Taiwan.
During the summer, police learned Huang was not on campus but was enrolled in online classes, according to court documents. Investigators obtained a search warrant for college records and determined Huang’s belongings had been placed in an international-student storage area on campus for the summer. Police reported finding six totes and one brown box.
Troopers waited to execute a search warrant for Huang’s electronic devices until he returned to campus for the fall semester, the complaint states.
Police executed a search warrant at about 7 a.m. Sept. 2 in Huang’s dormitory room. During an interview, Huang allegedly admitted he controlled the email addresses associated with the cyber tips and downloaded the material, according to the complaint.
Huang also allegedly told investigators that he uploaded the material “to save it prior to deleting it from his cellular phone,” police said.
Wilson College Athletics lists Huang as a junior on the men’s golf roster for the 2025-26 season. The athletics website lists his prior roster classifications as first year in 2023-24 and sophomore in 2024-25.
