I’m the eyes to help you navigate when you get me from the Seeing Eye Club and I open up the whole world for you and I’m so happy to give that to you.
I’m the one who senses when a seizure is coming and makes sure you sit down so you don’t get hurt.
I’m the emotional support you need when the anxiety gets too strong.
I’m the one who listens while your little ones read out loud for the first time.
I’m the one who teaches your children about empathy and care for another being.
I go into the nursing home with you to spend time with the residents and I can see how much we make a difference.
I go to yoga with you and everyone loves when I’m there.
I’m the friend you talk to about the new person in your life and I listen to all your hopes and I pray right along with you that it all works out.
I’m the one who walks down the aisle with you when you exchange rings.
I’m the one who makes you laugh when I act goofy or do something funny.
I am the kisses that remind you there is good in the world.
I’m the purring in your ear that helps lower your blood pressure after a rough day.
I’m the one who celebrates the milestones with you. I’m the one who wants to follow behind the school bus with you on the first day of school.
I’m the one who sits with you during that tear-jerker of a movie.
I only have three legs, but you adopted me anyway and you’re still proud and show me off to your friends.
I am all this for you every minute of every day of every year because you are my person. My reason for everything and I’m so honored that you chose me.
