Professional fund raisers gain $15 million for area nonprofits

WAYNESBORO – Owners of licensed fundraising counsel Ghost Writer LLC are celebrating connecting nonprofit organizations with a total of $15 million in funding. These are results from more than 700 grants, sponsorship requests, direct mail campaigns, tax credit programs and other revenue streams submitted on behalf of over 50 clients in the nonprofit sector since 2017.

Kirsten Hubbard, founder and CEO of Ghost Writer LLC, said, “What is most important to me is the real-world effect of this funding: families receiving food, healthcare becoming more accessible, neighborhoods being revitalized, historic assets preserved, kids waking up to presents under the Christmas tree. Our nonprofit clients are the heroes in these stories—we just amplify what they do, living our mission of Writing a Better Human Story.”

Ghost Writer LLC specializes in grant management, development, marketing, and C-level strategies, offering a wide range of services such as donor database management, grant writing, sponsorship packages, marketing and more. Ghost Writer LLC’s business model presents a team of experts in writing, editing, social media, communications and graphic design, all for less than the cost of full-time employees. The company has also offers executive services, which guides nonprofits through processes like strategic planning, board training, workshops, and speaking engagements.

Since its inception, the company has grown to employ six full-time team members and several contractors to serve over 50 clients, with ROIs reaching double and triple digits.

“None of this happens by accident. It takes intentional investment, a team of experts, thoughtful strategy, and the trust of our clients. We can change the world by turning goodwill into action. Our clients and our communities have a measurable return on investment to prove it!” says Hubbard. “Ghost Writer continues to grow to meet a changing nonprofit and funding landscape, and we will be announcing exciting additions in 2026!”
