WAYNESBORO, Pa. — The Waynesboro Stallions secured a hard-fought victory in Midget division play, defeating the visiting Carlisle Herd 20-13 on Saturday at Otterbein Recreation Park.
The victory served as the highlight of the day for the Stallions during their Week 2 CFA Youth Football League Federal Conference matchup. Waynesboro’s defense held off Carlisle in the Midget contest to earn the seven-point win.
Carlisle controlled the remaining two games of the tripleheader, earning shutout victories in both the Peewee and Pony divisions.
In the opening game, Carlisle’s Peewee squad established early control and rolled to a 39-0 victory over Waynesboro. The Herd replicated that exact outcome in the Pony matchup later in the afternoon, handing the Stallions another 39-0 loss.
The weekend results leave both programs preparing for Week 3 action as the CFA season continues.
