WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Waynesboro’s annual Father’s Day Car and Truck Show drew 230 vehicles and large crowds to downtown Saturday, highlighting classic automobiles and community engagement.
Hosted by Mainstreet Waynesboro in partnership with the Appalachian Golden Classics Car Club, the “Cruisin the Main” event ran from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with Main Street closed to traffic from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hundreds of classic cars and trucks of various makes and models lined the street, attracting thousands of visitors throughout the day.
Participants registered on-site for $15, competing for awards including Best of Show Car, Best of Show Truck, Mayor’s Choice, People’s Choice and Kids Choice. Trophies were also presented to the top 25 vote-getters, with the awards ceremony scheduled for approximately 2:15 p.m.
In addition to the vehicle displays, attendees explored the Market at the Park farmers market at Main Street Park, enjoyed food trucks and visited local shops and restaurants.
Event proceeds benefit Mainstreet Waynesboro and other local charitable initiatives.
