WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Participants at the Waynesboro Area YMCA pickleball camp on July 24 learned the fundamentals of the growing sport, including serving, the double-bounce rule, kitchen play and scoring. The camp introduced youth to game basics in a fun, instructional setting, with another All Sports Camp scheduled for July 27-30 for ages 6-12. The YMCA will also offer youth pickleball this fall, with middle school sessions on Mondays from 3 to 4 p.m. and high school sessions on Wednesdays from 3 to 4 p.m. The first fall session runs Aug. 17 through Oct. 11, with registration opening next week.
