HAGERSTOWN, Md. — More than 1,700 girls and women registered for the Muddy Mamas Mud Run & Obstacle Course on Sept. 19 at the Washington County Agricultural Education Center, where participants tackled an 18-obstacle, untimed 5K course filled with mud, teamwork and determination.
Organizers said about 350 volunteers supported the Girls Inc. of Washington County fundraiser, which drew an estimated 7,000 people throughout the day, including participants, families and spectators. The annual women-and-girls event supports Girls Inc. programming and is designed for participants ages 10 and older.
