WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Pen Mar Youth League’s 12U Mayhem on the Mountain All-Star Tournament continued through the weekend, with Westminster delivering a decisive 11-2 victory over Mercersburg in tournament play.
The three-day event, held Friday through Sunday, brought together 12U and 8U all-star teams for a competitive slate of games highlighting regional youth talent.
Westminster set the tone early, capitalizing on timely hitting and aggressive base running to build a steady lead. The team’s offense remained consistent throughout the game, while its defense limited Mercersburg’s opportunities to respond.
Mercersburg managed to put runs on the board but struggled to keep pace against Westminster’s balanced performance. Strong pitching and disciplined fielding helped Westminster maintain control and close out the game with a nine-run margin.
The Mayhem on the Mountain tournament continues to showcase developing athletes and provide a competitive environment for youth baseball across the region.
