LETTERKENNY- The Patuxent River Naval Air Station is advising residents in the area of Letterkenny and Franklin County Pennsylvania that there will be nighttime flights taking place between August 15 and September 29.
The flights will be conducted between 7:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. In an effort to lessen the disturbance of these missions, pilots have been instructed to fly at the lowest altitude possible before midnight.
Residents are reminded that many factors can shift the timing of these flights. These flights are also done in accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration and Navy regulations.
