Mr. Xavier Jace "Zay" Smith, 20, of Hagerstown, and more recently of Kearneysville, West Virginia, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born December 1, 2003, he was the son of Kaylin Marie Smith of Hagerstown, and a son of the late Kevin Gedeon, who died in August, 2019.
He enjoyed fishing; music; football, especially watching the Baltimore Ravens Team; gaming; the beach; and family get togethers.
Surviving, besides his mother, is his girlfriend, Deaira Terry of Kearneysville; cousins, McCinzie Myers and Jaelyn Smith; aunt, Tiffany Smith; maternal grandmother, Barbara A. Carpenter; maternal great grandparents, Jackie and Nancy Socks, all of Hagerstown; among his siblings were Alesia, Aania, and Kashez Gedeon, and Kylie Jeantinord, all of West Virginia; as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins, and his faithful and fuzzy companions, Cisco, Fantum, and Autumn.
Xavier was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Michael C. Smith, in October, 2019.
The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is assisting the family with arrangements. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family.
