Mr. William G. Laudeman, 92, of Blue Ridge Summit, PA, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025, in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born November 3, 1932, in Minersville, PA, he was the eldest child of the late Frank and Florence (Hunter) Laudeman.

He served as a Radio Operator in the U.S. Navy from 1951until 1955. His service was also during the Korean war.

He married the love of his life and favorite dance partner, Janice E. (Slaybaugh) Laudeman on November 18, 1961.

He was employed as a service technician for Western Union serving a long post at the Raven Rock Mountain Complex, (Site R), for many years until he retired in 1979. He was recently employed greeting early morning golfers at Gettysburg National Golf Club, a job he loved.

He was a member of Fairfield VFW Post#172 and Cascade American Legion Post#239 where his regular attendance will be deeply missed.

Bill lived a full and vibrant life and shared his passion for the outdoors with his family and friends, building great memories. Known for his infectious humor and warm spirit – a true social soul who never met a stranger. He was an avid golfer and fisherman, well known for his entertaining fishing stories. Not many things brought him more happiness than twirling his beloved wife, Janice across the dance floor.

As a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, family was certainly his cornerstone. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children: Jana K. Jim and her husband, John D. of Chalfont, PA and David J. Laudeman and his wife, Julie A. of Creedmoor, NC; three grandchildren: Sydney Laudeman, Wade Laudeman and Kari Jim; two brothers: Gary Laudeman and his wife, Joanne of Newark, DE and Jim Laudeman and his wife, Sharpie of Minersville, PA; one sister: Janice Sukeena of Newark, DE.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
