William “Bill” J. Fratrick, 68 of Greencastle, PA passed away on Wednesday July 19, 2023 in his home surrounded by his family after a 17-year battle with kidney cancer. Born on August 24, 1954 in Johnstown, PA. He was the son of Caroline A. (Gagan) Fratrick and the late Nicholas J. Fratrick
Bill was a 1972 graduate of Greencastle Antrim High School. He retired in 2015 from Bob Hoffman Chevrolet in Mercersburg, PA.
Bill was known for helping anyone at any time, he never knew a stranger. He cherished time with his family and grandsons. Bill enjoyed helping his children and grandsons with their sports and activities, whether it be managing, coaching or just cheering from the sidelines. He loved going on family vacations, gardening and drag racing.
He is survived by his loving and supportive wife of 41 years, Lisa D. (Starliper) Fratrick, whom he married on July 10, 1982; his daughter Chelsey R. Timmons (husband Matthew) of Greencastle, PA; his son Eric J Fratrick (wife Hanna) and their sons Caiden, Jase and Colt of Greencastle, PA; a sister in law Denise Helman (husband Steve) and their children Erin and Reid of Greencastle, PA; God-daughter Jessie Rae Foor of Bedford, PA; his beloved dog Otis; and a sister Carolyn M. Fratrick of Greencastle, PA.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas M. Fratrick.
A Celebration of life is being planned and will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to SimpleChoice Cremation Services, Chambersburg.
