Mr. William B. “Bill” Chase, 67, of Cascade, MD, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025, in Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, MD.
Born August 31, 1957, in Oxnard, California, he was the son of the late William L. and Eva Marie (Ludwig) Chase.
He graduated from Cascade High School with the class of 1975. He later received an associate’s degree in business.
Mr. Chase served his country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1976 – 1980 as an aircraft control and warning radar specialist. During his time served he was awarded the good conduct metal.
Following his separation from the military he worked as a maintenance technician for 25 years at Sterling Care South Mountain, formally known as Reeder’s Memorial Home.
Mr. Chase was a talented musician who found comfort and expression in playing his guitar. Though he lived much of his life privately and reserved, his faith was strong and his love for his family ran deep. He was a man with a heart of gold and he will be missed by those he leaves behind.
He is survived by his siblings, Stephany L. Chase of Cascade, and Christoper J. Chase and his wife Holly of Mont Alto, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Anthony David Chase.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M., in the family home located at 25502 Brook’s Ave, Cascade, MD.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Bethel Church Cemetery, Cascade.
Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro is handling the arrangements.
