Wayne Jacob Rowe,Sr., 92, passed away April 22, 2024 at home. He was born October 26, 1931 in Greencastle, PA, the son of the late Gladys and Wayne Rowe. He married Sarah Brennan Rowe on August 12, 1953. Wayne retired from the Air Force after serving for 20 years as a mechanic and was in Vietnam. He was then employed at Letterkenny Army Depot as a painter and welder for 20 years. He was an antique dealer and coin collector. Wayne traveled to shows for many years. He also enjoyed Bingo and going to the casino. Wayne was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 46, Landis-McCleaf Marine Corps and VFW Post 1599. Wayne is survived by his son, Wayne Rowe, Jr.; granddaughters, Ami Olden and Jenny Miley; great-grandchildren, Aliyah Spriggs, SGT Dante Spriggs, Sarah Wagner, David Wagner, Alex Rowe, and Shelby Machel. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Rowe. Two sisters, Joretta Wile and Laura Wishard. One brother, Glenn Rowe. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 12 noon at Parklawns Memorial Gardens. The family requests that there not be any flowers sent to the service.
