Mr. Wallace E. Reed, Jr., 72, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026 in Wellspan Waynesboro Hospital.
Born August 14, 1953 in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Wallace E., Sr. and Mary E. (Wetzel) Reed.
He was a graduate of Smithsburg High School with the Class of 1971.
A dedicated employee of Mack Truck in Hagerstown, MD, he retired in 2007 after 36 years of service.
He was a member of William Max McLaughlin VFW Post #695, Waynesboro and South Mountain Fish and Game Association. He was an avid hunter and a devoted collector of antiques, finding joy both in the outdoors and in preserving pieces of the past.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Lisa A. (Wallace) Reed, who he married June 23, 1973; son, Glenn Paul Reed and his wife, Shayla of Mont Alto, PA: eight grandchildren, Tristan Reed of California, Cade Reed, Calvin Reed and Trevor Reed, all of Pennsylvania, Aubrey Reed of North Carolina and Aurora Marie Reed, Joe Ausherman and Liv Marie Ausherman, all of Pennsylvania and who he helped raise; two brothers, James E. Reed and his wife, Linda of Greencastle, PA and William L. Reed of Florida; three nephews; two nieces; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacey Marie Reed who passed away November 11, 2007.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
