Mr. Vincel B. Flasher, 63, of McConnellsburg, PA and formally of Waynesboro, PA passed away Thursday, July 18, 2024, in the Chambersburg hospital, Chambersburg, PA after a brief battle with cancer.
Born September 4, 1960, in Waynesboro, he is the son of the late James E. and Mary Jane (Wilson) Flasher.
Vincel was a graduate of Waynesboro High School with the class of 1978.
He obtained his trade as a machinist at Landis Tool Company and continued his apprenticeship and employment at AMP Inc. for over 25 years. He later worked as a machinist for the Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg for 13 years making parts for military vehicles.
Vincel was a member of the American Legion Post #561. He was a modest man who enjoyed music, playing guitar, watching westerns, football, and being in the great outdoors. He had a very kind heart and enjoyed being with his family and friends.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his two daughters, Brittany Myers and her husband Eric of Chambersburg, Kaitlyn Scott and her husband Justin of Fayetteville, PA; two grandchildren, Kyle & Kinley Scott; a brother, Keith Flasher and his wife Lori of Waynesboro; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, and an infant grandson, Nicholas Scott.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M, Friday, July 26, 2024, in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.
